INGREDIENTS IN OUR SOAP PRODUCTS

Others use Powdered goat milk. We use Fresh Goat Milk

Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Goat milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid which help remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger looking. The alpha-hydroxy acids are so effective because they break down the bonds that hold the dead skin cells together. Removing dead skin cells will help many skin conditions by removing irritation. Water-based soaps may use harsh chemical acids to accomplish this, frequently with skin-damaging results.

Vitamins

Goat milk contains many vitamins(A, B6, B12, C, D, E, and many more) , but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin. There have been several medical studies showing that creams made with Vitamin A reduce lines and wrinkles, control acne, and provide some psoriasis relief. Water-based soaps can be artificially fortified with vitamins, but most aren’t.

Cream

Fat molecules are an important part of making good soap. The cream that is present in goat milk helps boost the moisturizing quality of goat milk soaps. Since many people suffer from dry skin, particularly in the winter months, this is an important quality for soap. Goat milk soap will not dry your skin out like many other soaps. This is important because keeping skin naturally moisturized helps keep skin healthy.

Minerals

Finally, it’s a good source of selenium, a mineral shown to support a healthy skin membrane. It may even improve psoriasis symptoms like dry skin.

Selenium is one of the essential trace minerals required by the human body. It’s a nutrient with antioxidant properties which plays an important part in protecting cells against the effects of free radicals. The body has developed defenses such as antioxidants to control levels of free radicals which damage cells and can contribute to a wide range of potential issues ranging in terms of skin health from acne and psoriasis through on a wider biological level to the development of some chronic diseases.

Coconut oil

While the ingredients are the most important aspects of any soap bar, bubbles are still an integral part of the soap-lovers’ experience. Coconut oil soap bars produce that nice, fluffy lather most of us love. While these soap bars are suitable for most types of skin, they have a special appeal to those who love lather. Soaping up your skin with coconut oil bars not only creates a nice, bubbly lather, but it can also make your skin look and feel younger and softer.

The benefits of coconut oil are many, as it contains unique biologically active components which may help heal wounds. Aside from wound healing, the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties in coco oil may be helpful in a wide range of skin conditions, including eczema, acne, and psoriasis.

Safflower Oil

Safflower Oil balances your skin because of its high content of Linoleic Acid which controls the level of Keratin protein in your skin.  High Keratin prevents the natural sloughing off of dead skin cells in your skin, nails and hair.  This causes clogged skin pores which leads to pimples.  So Safflower Oil helps prevent and inhibit clogged, pores, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.

Safflower is also rich in Vitamin E which is an antioxidant.  Antioxidants help fight free radicals which deteriorate the texture of your skin.  It also has moisturizing effects which helps your skin feel soft and smooth.

Rice Bran Oil

Rice bran oil is expressed from the outer husk of rice. It’s rich in vitamin E, is low cleansing and highly moisturizing. When mixed with ingredients like highly cleansing coconut oil, it helps to make a balanced, gentle bar of soap that is perfect for people with sensitive or mature skin. It is rich in various vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It will protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation, pollution and environmental damage. Rice bran oil has healing, restructuring, soothing, categorizing, repairing (reduces skin inflammation) and decongestant properties. It penetrates the skin without leaving a greasy residue.

Rendered Lard

Some people wrongly assume that lard soap will clog pores and damage the skin. This is not true. Lard may actually benefit the skin because it is mild, moisturizing, and conditions very well.

Lard will make the soap bar hard and long-lasting. Some plant-based oils can turn the soap into a big pile of blob immediately after wetting. This can be a huge problem that can be solved through the addition of lard.

Herbs

We prefer to keep our soaps as natural as possible. So, we have colored our goat milk soaps using various clays, herbs, botanicals and powders.

Natural botanical blends are a fantastic way to produce beautiful and unique hues in homemade soaps without having to use titanium dioxide, mica-based colors, or food dyes.
